Stars are walking in and out of the sets of Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming biopic of Sanjay Dutt and Aanand L. Rai’s Zero with Shah Rukh Khan.

The reason: Both movies have cameos galore. At least half-a-dozen stars have shot guest appearances for the two films.

If Hirani has Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Dia Mirza playing Sanjay Dutt’s girlfriends in the film, Rai’s has Deepika Padukone, Juhi Chawla, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherji and Kajol.

Both movies have one thing in common — a filmi backdrop.

There is a rumour that Aamir Khan and Boman Irani would also be a part of the Sanjay Dutt biopic.

Film critic Dilip Thakur said: “There have been several films in which stars have done cameo turns. Mehmood’s Kunwara Baap had Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Vinod Mehra, Yogita Bali and Hema Malini in guest appearances.

In Manmohan Desai’s Naseeb, a galaxy of stars, including Raj Kapoor, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore, Rakesh Roshan, Waheeda Rehman and Randhir Kapoor, make appearances at a party to mark the golden jubilee of his film Dharam-Veer.”

Asrani’s 1977 film Chala Murari Hero Banne had Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Kishore Kumar and Sunil Dutt.
