Bidhan Chandra College, Hooghly (BCC, Hooghly), was established in 1957 on a sprawling scenic Campus in the middle of the industrial belt of Serampore, Hooghly. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated to the University of Calcutta.

BCC, Hooghly offers 26 undergraduate courses for students to pursue. The UG courses at BCC, Hooghly offer the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Arts with Honours (B.A (Hons)), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (B.Com (Hons)), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Science with Honours (B.Sc (Hons)). Admission Procedure

Bidhan Chandra College, Hooghly follows an online method of admission. Applicants are selected based on their merit and eligibility criteria. BCC, Hooghly offers undergraduate courses under the faculty of Arts, Science, and Commerce, both in Honours and General. Aspiring BA (Hons) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Aspiring BA (General) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board.

Aspiring B.Com (Hons) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with Commerce subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and B.Com (General) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with Commerce subjects. Aspiring B.Sc (General) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board with respective subjects in the field of Science according to their concerned departments. Aspiring B.Sc (Honours) applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination with an aggregate of 50% marks.
