Calcutta, Oct. 29: Firstsource Solutions Limited, a provider of business process management services, is eyeing e-commerce companies to handle their BPO operations.

"We have won a contract from a top Indian e-commerce company to provide inbound customer service to that firm," Firstsource chairman Sanjiv Goenka said here today.

He said the company would like to enter into more such contracts.

"We wish to expand in services such as data analytics. Although e-commerce contributes a small percentage to our total turnover, we want to grow in this sector in future as e-commerce will witness a boom and is here to stay," Goenka said.

For the second quarter ended September, the company's profit after tax grew around 1 per cent to Rs 61.85 crore from Rs 61.24 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Revenue from operations increased 2.4 per cent to Rs 792.47 crore from Rs 773.98 crore in the year-ago period.
