Kamrup girl wins gold

Guwahati, July 30: Anjali Sahani of Kamrup Metro won gold in the junior girls’ under-44kg event in the 32nd Inter-district Sub-junior, Junior and Senior Boys’ and Girls’ (Kyprug) Taekwondo Championship held at Hari Mandir Prangan in Nalbari from July 23 to 26. Another city girl, Atlanta Debangee Das, won a gold each in individual poomsae and kyorugi (spiring) and a silver in pair poomsae.

Martial arts: Bidang Mixed Martial Arts Academy athletes bagged 12 medals in various categories in the 12th Sub-junior/junior and 14th Senior State Wushu Championship held at Bishwanath Chariali from July 24 to 26. The 15-member team won three gold and five silver medals.
