State to hold 4 Ranji ties

Jamshedpur will host two Ranji Trophy matches while one each will be played in Ranchi and Dhanbad during the upcoming 2014-15 season.

Overall, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) will organise as many as 21 matches of various BCCI tournaments.

Jamshedpur’s Keenan Stadium will host the Jharkhand versus Assam Ranji match from December 14 and the one against Goa from January 29.

On the other hand, the Jharkhand-Andhra tie will be played at Dhanbad’s Railway Stadium from January 5.

The JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi will witness the Jharkhand-Hyderabad encounter between January 21 and to 24.

Jharkhand, which is placed in Group C, will play four away matches in different cities against Tripura (December 21-24), Kerala (December 28-31), Himachal (January 13-16) and Services (February 6-9).

“The matches have been allotted keeping in mind the availability of the venues,” a JSCA official said.

Also, Jamshedpur will play host to a Jharkhand versus Uttar Pradesh Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tie from November 22.
