Trinayanjyoti triumph

Dibrugarh, Aug 31: Trinayanjyoti Sangha, Chabua, claimed the second Umesh Gogoi football tournament title beating Barekuri Football Coaching Centre 2-0 in the final at Lahoal Rural Stadium, near here, today.

In a one-sided match, Trinayanjyoti Sangha hardly gave an opportunity to the opponents to attack.

Striker Hemanta Gaur drew first blood converting a pass from midfielder Ricky Singh in the 20th minute. Aditya Karmarkar made it 2-0 in the 55th minute.

Bhim Duwarah of Trinayanjyoti Sangha and Kishan Singh of Barekuri Football Coaching Centre shared the Best Player award.
