NMCH dialysis facility

Patna, Aug. 16: Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi today inaugurated a haemodialysis facility at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH). t present, there are 20 beds in the facility. The chief minister announced that the number would be increased in the future. Manjhi inspected different wards of the hospital and talked to the patients. Manjhi also inaugurated three dialysis units for diabetes superspecialty at Gardiner Road Hospital.

Denial

Patna: Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Saturday said he was pained by a section of the media dragging his family’s name into a controversy at a Bodhgaya hotel on August 13 afternoon. He called it a political conspiracy.

Two drown

Jehanabad (PTI): Two school students, Praveen Kumar (16) and Gaurav Kumar (15), drowned on Saturday while bathing in Dardha river here. The district administration has roped in divers of state disaster response force to search for the bodies.

Accident

Sasaram (PTI): A trainee police constable (25) was killed and two of his colleagues were seriously injured in an accident on NH-2 near Patnawa village late on Friday night in Rohtas district. The trainee police constable was travelling on a motorcycle from Dehri Bihar Military Police camp to Indrapuri with his two colleagues when their bike dashed against a tree on the national highway.

Scholarships

Patna: Union Bank of India regional office here on Saturday announced that 20 rural branches of the bank adopted meritorious girl students belonging to poor families and distributed them scholarships.
