Lady judge protest

New Delhi, Aug. 14: The former additional district judge who has alleged sexual harassment by a Madhya Pradesh High Court judge has complained that the two-judge committee formed to probe her charges was improperly constituted, reports our legal correspondent.

She has questioned the lack of any independent member in the panel, as required under the sexual harassment at the workplace law, in a letter to Giribala Singh, secretary of the two-member probe panel.

Under the sexual harassment law passed last year, a probe panel must have a member from outside the complainant’s workplace but both the judges on the probe panel are from the high court.
