Case filed against fraud

Dhubri, July 12: Kulodhar Das of Gauripur town of Dhubri district lodged an FIR at Gauripur police station today against Abdul Hamid Sheikh of ward number 1 of the town for allegedly counterfeiting Dasís High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) marksheet and admit card of 1985.

Das alleged that Sheikh, by producing the fake marksheet and admit card, became president of school management committee of 2802 Mazibur Rahman Memorial LP School and has been continuing in the post for many years.

Sheikh was also suspected to have used the documents to get a kisan credit card and industrial loans, Das further alleged. He also apprised Dhubri deputy commissioner and superintendent of police in writing and urged upon them to inquire into fraudulence committed by Sheikh.

Sheikh is reportedly absconding, a police source said.

Das is a social worker and director of Natureís Friend.
