Pujara & Binny make it count

Cheteshwar Pujara, in Derby, on Wednesday

Derby: Stuart Binny and Cheteshwar Pujara led the way with fluent half-centuries as India ended Day II of their three-day tour game versus Derbyshire at 341 for six, enjoying a useful day of batting practice before the first Test begins at Nottingham on July 9.

Binny (81 batting) and Ajinkya Rahane (batting on 13) were together in the middle at stumps, putting on 53 runs for the seventh wicket. The gain so far for India from this game is Pujara (81 retired out) who seems to be in fine rhythm.

Ravindra Jadeja was the only casualty in the final session. He scored 45 runs, facing 67 balls, hitting seven fours and a six.
