Friday wait over

The trend of paid preview, a hitherto unknown concept here, has finally hit it off with theatre owners in the city.

A few hundred lucky fans would now be able to catch Optimus Prime a day before the official release of Transformers: Age of Extinction. Regent Fun Cinemas has organised the service and would screen the special show on June 26 at 9.30pm.

“This is the second time we would screen a paid review show. It also helps the film rake in the moolah through word of mouth publicity,” said Suman Kumar Sinha, chairperson and managing director of Regent Theatre Pvt. Ltd.

Regent Fun Cinemas has not increased it and kept the usual price Rs 100, 120 and Rs 150.

Sarvesh Kumar of Kidwaipuri said: “Transformers is my favourite movie. I am lucky to grab four tickets of the show.”
