Know your tram, just in case...

A tramcar might look like a relic from a different era as it trundles through chaotic city traffic at its own pace, but inside the driverís cabin life isnít quite as uncomplicated.

Ask 24-year-old Dinesh Lal, who had hopped onto the driverless tram that ran amok at Ballygunge Phari on Thursday morning and struggled to find the right lever to stop the engine.

TAMAGHNA BANERJEE hitched a ride in a tram driverís cabin to figure out the switches and levers on the console that Lal had fumbled with before stopping the phantom tram that ploughed through nine cars.
