Seven Star edge past Sikhna Afat

Kokrajhar, June 9: Seven Star Club defeated Sikhna Afat, Salakati, by a solitary goal in today’s match of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association Super Division Football League being played at Kashibari mini stadium here.

In a keen contest, the first half ended barren with both sides making forays to opponent territories only to return without any breakthrough.

Dergadao Brahma netted the only goal of the match in the 48th minute. The Sikhna Afat men made a number of attempts in the later part of the match, but could not beat the Seven Star defence.

CAG team: The Principal Accountant-General’s office here has named four players to represent Comptroller and Auditor-General of India team in the 43rd All-India Hot Weather Football Tournament at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh from June 16 to 22.
