Bokakhat drub Dhubri


Guwahati, June 6: An unbeaten century by Neeraj Dutta steered Bokakhat Cricket Coaching Centre to a 103-run victory over Dhubri District Cricket Academy in the Dilip Sarmah Under-14 Inter District Cricket Coaching Centre Championship at Nehru Stadium here today.

Put in to bat, Bokakhat put up a competitive 214 for the loss of nine wickets in 40 overs. Neeraj was not out on 105 off 124 balls with 14 hits to the fence while Bikash Sharma and Munna Sahani chipped in with 15 and 13 runs respectively. For Dhubri, Kaushik Rajak picked up three wickets conceding 32 runs in eight overs while Jayesh Agarwal scalped two wickets for 17 runs in four overs. Kaushar Ansari and Sonu Thakur picked up a wicket each.

In reply, Dhubri were bowled out for 111 in 24.5 overs. Kaushar Ansari scored 22 while Rijuan Samim Akhter remained not out on 20 runs. Sonu Sarma was the pick of the bowlers for Bokakhat with four wickets in his kitty while Siddharth Goswami scalped two wickets.

Bud Cricket Academy, Guwahati will play Goalpara Cricket Academy at Nehru Stadium tomorrow while Tinsukia Cricket Coaching Centre will face Bokakhat Cricket Coaching Centre at NFR Sports Association Stadium, Maligaon.
