Bongaigaon team beats NFR

Guwahati, May 30: Bongaigaon Cricket Coaching Centre inflicted a two-wicket defeat on hosts Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Association Cricket Academy in their match of the Dilip Sarmah Under-14 Inter-District Cricket Coaching Centre Championship at the NFRSA Stadium here today.

Electing to bat, NFRSA Cricket Academy put up a total of 111 runs before being all out in 30.1 overs. Hira Chhetry topscored with 28 runs off 52 balls. Siba Prasad and Sandip Paul bagged three wickets each.

In reply, the Bongaigaon batsmen got past the target losing eight wickets in 37 overs. Abhijit Roy scored 33 runs off 37 deliveries. Nipumoni Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for the NFR side with figures of three wickets for 21 runs.
