Dhubri BJP satisfied

Dhubri, May 20: Enthused and happy at the BJP’s landslide victory at the Centre, the party’s Dhubri unit today resolved to fight for development and pursue state party leaders to address the issues raised in poll manifesto.

“We have seven MPs from Assam and this would definitely help to take the issues and problems to the Centre,” a party leader said. The BJP finished third in the Dhubri Lok Sabha seat, which was retained by AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, this time. Though pushed to the third position, the party leaders said their percentage and number of votes had increased.
