Aditya’s fresh charges

Calcutta: Aditya Verma, secretary of the unrecognised Cricket Association of Bihar, has once again come out all guns blazing against Narayanswamy Srinivasan, the effectively suspended president of the BCCI.

Verma has alleged that Srinivasan attended an IPL governing council meeting, despite the Supreme Court restraining him from getting involved in any BCCI activity.

According to Verma, Srinivasan conducted a secret meeting of the governing council in Ranchi, on the sidelines of the Chennai Super Kings versus Rajasthan Royals match, on Tuesday.

Verma has asked Sunil Gavaskar, the interim president of the Board on IPL matters, to clarify.

Verma also alleged that Jharkhand State Cricket Association president and IPL governing council member Amitabh Choudhary helped Srinivasan in arranging the meeting.

Verma has also circulated among the media a website link of an interview of IPL governing council chairman Ranjib Biswal. The interview, dated May 3, 2014, was published by English daily New Indian Express and quoted Biswal as referring to Srinivasan as the “BCCI president”.
