BG leads in Infy pay pack

Srinivas: In top position

Mumbai, May 12: B.G. Srinivas, considered by many as one of the leading contenders for the chief executive officer’s post at Infosys, has become the highest paid executive at India’s second-largest IT services company.

Srinivas, known as BG to his colleagues, is the president and member of the board at Infosys. He heads a diverse portfolio, including financial services, insurance, manufacturing, engineering services, energy and communications, strategic global sourcing, marketing and alliances.

According to a filing made by Infosys with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Srinivas earned a total of around $1.28 million during 2013-14, including bonus. He takes over this position from Stephen R. Prat (earlier the highest paid executive), who quit the company in November.

Srinivas is followed by Prasad Thrikutam, who is the global head of strategic sales, marketing and alliances. He is also the head of Infosys, Americas. Thrikutam earned close to $787,401 during the year.

Founders S.D. Shibulal, S. Gopalakrishnan do not figure among the top earners in the company and they had the same package amounting to $24,152.

It may be recalled that N.R. Narayana Murthy, who came back to the helm at Infosys in June last year, draws a token compensation of Re 1.
