New Delhi: The Supreme Court, during the next fortnight, will pronounce its verdict on entrusting further probe into the IPL betting/spot-fixing allegations to the three member Justice (retd) Mukul Mudgal panel.
It was widely expected that Justice AK Patnaik, who is retiring on June 2 during the court’s summer vacation, would pronounce the judgement on Friday, which, in a way, is his last working day.
However, sources told The Telegraph that Justice Patnaik would pronounce his judgement during the summer vacation.
Besides the IPL judgement he would also be pronouncing a series of other judgments on banning or lifting of ban on mining activities in various parts of the country.
The apex court, on April 29, had reserved its verdict on whom to entrust with the further probe into the IPL case.
