A lot is at stake for Churchill

Calcutta: Churchill Brothers will be hoping to garner full points against Salgaocar FC at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Monday and avoid relegation.

Churchill are at the bottom of the I-League table at the moment, following Mohammedan Sporting’s 2-1 victory against Mumbai FC on Sunday, and going into the final match on Monday, the defending champions will need a win or they will be relegated.

Churchill have 22 points from 23 matches while Mohammedan Sporting have completed their engagements on 24 points.

However, it will not be easy for Churchill. They will be missing their Egyptian midfielder Abdelhamid Shabana, who was sent off in the last game. Defender Sanjay Balmuchu, who is nursing an injury, is also doubtful for the tie.
