Calcutta, April 27: The Enforcement Directorate has called Arpita Ghosh to seek her response on “some queries” related to the Saradha Group, two days after questioning the Trinamul Balurghat candidate for over two hours at its Salt Lake office.
“She has been asked to come to the Central Government Office complex within a day or two and reply to some queries. She is expected to turn up tomorrow,” an ED official said today.
The official added the theatre personality was called again as the central agency wanted to clear “some more doubts”. Ghosh had on Friday mentioned she had no information about account details and broadcasting documents of a Saradha channel where she was employed, the official said.
The income tax department yesterday pasted two notices on Saradha’s Midland Park office, asking group chairman Sudipta Sen to pay nearly Rs 3.45 crore in dues.
