Valley rage

Srinagar, April 19: Villagers torched the home of a suspected Lashkar operative in north Kashmir on Saturday following allegations that he tried to abduct a girl, reports our special correspondent.

Rarely in the Valley have locals protested against militants. The incident took place at Nowpora Kalan village in Sopore.

The accused, Imran Ahmad Dar, has been arrested, police said. Two of his accomplices managed to escape.
