KKR rope in Horn

New Delhi: Renowned adventurer and explorer Mike Horn has been roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a short stint ahead of the IPL VII.

Horn, who has earlier worked with the Indian cricket team in 2011 and the South African team, will now be sharing his life experiences with the players of KKR in the UAE.

The KKR team gathered in the UAE on Tuesday.

Horn became famous in 2001 after completing a solo journey around the equator, without motorized transport. He uses his experience to motivate sportspersons. In 2006, along with Norwegian explorer Borge Ousland, he travelled without a dog or motorized transport to the North Pole.

During 2010 and 2011, with Gary Kirsten as the India coach, he conducted motivational sessions for the Indian cricket team.
