Call to be made by physio, says Yuvraj

Dhaka: “I’m better, I should train tomorrow... But the call has to be made by the physio (Nitin Patel),” Yuvraj Singh told The Telegraph on Wednesday evening.

Yuvraj, who returned to form in India’s last World T20 match, against Australia, skipped the day’s nets after injuring his left ankle on Tuesday, when the team played soccer bare feet!

That wasn’t, of course, the most professional act at the business end of the World T20.

One wonders whose idea it was.

India’s semi-final, against South Africa, is on Friday. The World T20 final is on Sunday.

Back in October 2006, when Greg Chappell was the coach, Yuvraj twisted his left knee during a warm-up session featuring kho-kho!

Yuvraj was then out for months.
