Bagan to wait & watch

Calcutta: Rendezvous Sports World Pvt Limited might tie-up with Mohun Bagan and use their facilities if the former’s bid for an Indian Super League (ISL) franchise is successful and both the parties are satisfied with All India Football Federation (AIFF)’s terms and conditions.

It was learnt that Rendezvous Sports has submitted a bid for the Mumbai franchise. For the record, Rendezvous Sports were earlier involved with Indian Premier League, being one of the co-owners of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala franchise.

Mohun Bagan’s assistant secretary Srinjoy Bose confirmed that they were in advanced talks with Rendezvous Sports.

“Since we are a big name in Indian football, many ISL bidders have expressed their interest to enter into a tie-up with us. Similarly Rendezvous Sports approached us...

“We have had very fruitful discussion with them. But we cannot finalise anything at the moment because we are not aware of the finer details of the tournament.

“We will wait till the AIFF declares all the details,” he said.
