Guwahati take lead on Day 2

Guwahati, April 1: Sunzow Brahma’s unbeaten ton steered hosts Guwahati to a comfortable position against Charaideo as the side went on to secure their first innings lead on the second day of the three-day Elite group semi-final round match of the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament at Barsapara Cricket Stadium here today.

Resuming their innings at an overnight score of 25 for one, the hosts went on to pile up 343 runs for the loss of eight wickets till the end of the second day’s play. Earlier Charaideo put up a first innings total of 183 runs.

In the other semi-final round match, Dibrugarh set a target of 273 runs for Nagaon.
