Bangladesh are very dangerous at home: Rohit

Dhaka: Rohit Sharma has ruled out any complacency creeping into the Indians’ ranks against Bangladesh on Friday.

“You should not have anything like over-confidence in cricket. That should be the attitude. Bangladesh are very dangerous in home conditions… Our players need to be at their best as we can’t take them lightly. They know what do in these conditions… We can’t take them lightly,” said Rohit on Thursday.

The opener felt they needed to improve on all areas going forward in the tournament. “We are actually concentrating on all three departments. There are no specific areas. If we want to win the tournament, we have to be at our best in all three departments.

“I agree we dropped a few catches in the last game, but we want to be the best fielding side in the tournament and we have spoken about this. We will put in a lot of effort today and you will see it tomorrow. We got to be trying our best and do whatever we can,” Rohit said.

“We will approach the game as we did in the last two games. Trying to keep it very simple... We know what we need to do to win this game. All three departments will be crucial… Individuals will be working on whatever areas they need to.

“We will take this as another game. The approach definitely won’t change. It will be an important game playing against Bangladesh. They will get a lot of support over here. Crowds get behind them here. It will be a good game. We have to be at our best to win the match.”
