BJP rebel

Ranchi, March 18: Senior BJP leader Barkunwar Gagarai on Tuesday announced to contest the Singhbhum seat as an Independent against the party’s candidate Laxman Gilua.

Gagarai said he was expecting a BJP ticket. “Now that the BJP has decided to field Gilua, I will enter the fray as an Independent,” he said.

Ranchi: Independent MP from Chatra Inder Singh Namdhari has decided not to contest the general elections this year, a move that is likely to help the Ajsu regain the seat. “Survival for people like us has become difficult. So, I have decided to skip the polls this time,” he said.

Ajsu tickets

Ranchi: The Ajsu on Tuesday named its candidates for two Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. While former Union minister Nagmani has been given ticket to the Chatra seat, former IPS officer Subodh Prasad will contest from Godda.
