Zimbabwe stunned

Calcutta: Hong Kong created an upset in their World T20 warm-up match, on Wednesday, defeating Zimbabwe by four wickets in Chittagong.

Zimbabwe set up a decent total of 153 for seven, courtesy some lusty hitting by Elton Chigumbura (45 ..; 28b, 7x4, 1x6) towards the end of the innings. However, Hong Kong rode Mark Chapman’s unbeaten 53 (4x4, 3x6) to overhaul the target in 20 overs. Tanwir Afzal also chipped in with an unbeaten 37.

The duo stitched together an unbroken partnership of 70 runs.

In other matches, Ireland defeated Nepal by five wickets, Afghanistan drubbed the Netherlands by 35 runs (D/L method) and Bangladesh beat the UAE by four wickets.
