Party for corrupt

Lakhimpur Kheri, March 1 (PTI): When all the political units are out to project themselves as honest and upright, a lawyer has launched a new outfit, the Khas Aadmi Party, looking for corrupt and frauds.

Naresh Singh Bhadauriya, 52, has in the past fought Assembly and Lok Sabha polls against the likes of Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the leader of the Pol Khol Party. He now intends to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Amethi against the AAP’s Kumar Viswas and Rahul Gandhi.

Bhadauriya took out a rally here yesterday, holding a banner that read: “Only the corrupt, schemers and fraudsters, are eligible for membership.”

“The party is keen to have electoral tie-ups with any political outfit other than Aam Aadmi Party,” the banner proclaimed.

Bhadauriya, a lawyer by profession, said: “I am not in the fray to win, but to attract the electorate to burning issues.”

Arvind barbs

Moradabad (PTI): Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday attacked the BJP and the Congress, saying there would be no change in corruption and inflation even if Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi came to power.

Addressing his supporters at a road rally, the Aam Aadmi Party leader said: “Whether Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi came to power there would be no effect on price rise and corruption. Beware of these two parties.”

Like several times in the past, he also targeted Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, pointing to the alleged land scams in Haryana involving the businessman. These references were made while he dubbed Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda a “property dealer”.
