Double titles for Jagajjyoti

Hailakandi, Feb. 28: Jagajjyoti Rajkumar of Silcharís India Club won both the singles and doubles titles in the inter-Barak Badminton championship, organised by Ex-NCC Cadets Association of Karimganj. Jagajjyoti won the singles title for the third time in a row. In the final at the Saraswati Vidyaniketan ground in Karimganj town yesterday night, Jagajjyoti defeated Hritabrata Paul of Karimganj College 21-16, 21-17.

In the doubles final, Jagajjyoti teamed up with his clubís Rajdeep Chanda to defeat Hritabrata Paul and Kishore Das of Karimganj 21-18, 21-18. In the womenís singles, Sudipta Sinha defeated Sushmita Paul 21-15, 21-14 in the final. In the veteran menís singles, Nilay Dutta of Badarpur defeated Subal Das of Karimganj 21-14, 21-14. In veteran doubles, Subal Das and Yadav Bhattacharjee defeated Nilay Dutta and Manish Bhattacharjee 10-15, 15-11, 15-8 for the title.
