Clean-up mission

Calcutta: In keeping with the suggestion of the Justice Mudgal Committee report, the IPL governing council mulls getting Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman to campaign for keeping the IPL clean. They would also caution youngsters on the perils of malpractice like match-fixing, which had marred IPL VI.

“The matter was discussed during the last governing council meeting on Thursday,” said Subir Ganguly, a governing council member.

“The campaign, which might begin a month prior to the start of the competition, will be done through video-clippings in eight different languages.”
