DY365 beat Gana Adhikar

Guwahati, Jan. 24: DY365 sealed a semi-final berth defeating Gana Adhikar by 39 runs in the first quarter-finals of the Media Cricket Tournament at Judges Field here today.

Put in to bat, DY365 piled up a competitive 168 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Rabin Das topscored with 47 runs. Munnaf Haque was the pick of the bowlers with figures of five for 26 runs.

Gana Adhikar could only manage 129 runs for the loss of six wickets in their regular overs.

Simanta Dutta topscored for his side with an unbeaten 45 runs. Rabin Das bagged four wickets giving away 20 runs in his allotted four overs.

Former Indian team selector Sambaran Banerjee gave away the Man of the Match award to Rabin Das. News Live will play Assam Photo Journalists Association in the second quarter-final tomorrow.
