Indians beat SL

Visakhapatnam: A fine bowling performance by Indian women, led by left-arm spinner Gouher Sultana’s four-wicket haul, helped them register a seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second tie of the three-match ODI series, here, on Tuesday.

After bundling out Sri Lanka for a meagre 140, India achieved the target in 39.3 overs, with seven wickets to spare.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field. After being put in to bat, Sri Lanka were dealt with early blows as Amita Sharma sent the openers back to the pavilion.
