Uphill task for Indians

New Delhi: The first two days of Hockey World League (HWL) Final had raised serious questions about India’s capability to play against the top teams at the international level. While chief coach Terry Walsh described India’s performance as “unacceptable”, some felt India looked the odd team out in the tournament.

On Monday, India will take on Olympic champions Germany and not much can be expected from them. Having lost to England and New Zealand, the Sardar Singh-led side hardly showed the skills required to stop the Germans.
