Health team in hospitals

All indoor services at Khasmahal Sadar Hospital will begin from March.

Principal secretary (health) K. Vidyasagar on Friday inspected the newly inaugurated heal hub and directed launching of indoor services in a full-fledged manner. He was accompanied by health director Praveen Chandra and deputy director of the department Rajesh Verma.

The hospital, inaugurated last month, currently provides only OPD facilities to over 200 patients daily.

During inspection, Vidyasagar asked the authorities to repair old water pipelines and ensure that X-ray machines, analysers and other equipment were properly set up before March.

Deputy superintendent A.K. Lal said health officials had also asked them to instal the incinerator, which had already been procured. The 100-bed hospital will also have a 10-bed ICU. Vidyasagar also asked the authorities to send an estimate for construction of a boundary wall.

Later, Vidyasagar also visited MGM Medical College in Dimna, where it reviewed the condition of administrative buildings and hostels. He also held a meeting with officials of MGM Medical College and Hospital in Sakchi to take stock of manpower requirement and improve services.
