MP tops medal tally

Imphal, Jan. 31: Madhya Pradesh topped the medal tally by securing three gold, seven silver and three bronze medals on the second day of the 23rd National Canoe Sprint Championship at Komlakhong water sports complex in Imphal West today.

So far, Kerala has won three gold, two silvers and four bronze medals and Manipur has bagged three golds and four silvers. Assam could manage only four bronze medals.

On the second day today, hosts Manipur, Andhra Pradesh and SSCB won two gold medals each. SSCB also won a silver while Manipur won two.

Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Uttarakhand won a gold medal each. MP won two silvers, Uttarakhand two silvers, Delhi one bronze and Odisha one silver.

Assam won three bronzes, MP and Kerala won two each.
