Anilabha (Saswata Chatterjee) and Jhumur’s (Sreelekha Mitra) life changes one fine afternoon after the Genie (Rajatava Dutta) grants them all their wishes! From a middle-class couple, they become richie rich. No wonder Saswata and Sreelekha had a blast on the sets of Ascharjya Pradip at Club Verde Vista on a January afternoon. “Jhumur used to be the nagging wife when they were poor but after getting a lot of money from the Genie, she acts classy! They buy a new house and gear up for a house-warming party! But they lack sophistication and taste and so tend to go over the top.... We are having great fun. In between shots, Apuda (Saswata) cracks one joke after another and the entire unit bursts into peals of laughter,” laughed Sreelekha.

comic caper: Team Golemaaley Pirit Koro Na got together at HHI last week for a press meet. Anindo Banerjee’s Golemaaley... was shot in 2009, but the release got delayed for various reasons. “Golemaaley... was supposed to be my debut film. But because of the delay my second film Chaplin (2010, starring Rudranil Ghosh) released first.... I had a lot of fun doing Golemaaley... because it’s a comedy and we laughed a lot. I hope the audience too laughs as much,” said Anindo. “I am a fun-loving person and I love being a part of fun films. I have even choreographed the title song!” laughed leading man Jisshu Sengupta. Golemaaley... is lined up for an end-January release.
