Slow probe barb at cops

The parents of 13-year-old Nobha Chakarvarty, who was allegedly kidnapped from her home in the Jawaharlal Road area, have criticised police for failing to trace his daughter.

Nobha went missing on September 19. Her father, Atul, on Wednesday said: “My daughter has been kidnapped by land mafia who wanted my property. I have given the names of people I suspect to the police. But they are yet to do anything.”

On November 26, a decomposed body was found from the Jawaharlal Road area. The police have sent the body for DNA test to verify if it is of Nobha.
