Eviction drive

Dec. 12: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation today carried out an eviction drive on the Brahmaputra bank at Uzan Bazar and pulled down around 100 illegally constructed houses. GMC officials said the drive was carried out as part of its project to beautify the riverbank.
