Santipur, NCA win

Guwahati, Nov. 28: Hosts Noonmati Cricket Academy (NCA) and Santipur Cricket Academy today registered victories in their respective matches of the All-India under-17 inter-cricket academy cricket tournament at Judges Field.

While Noonmati handed a 57-run defeat to Gurukul Senior Secondary School, Santipur inflicted a 68-run defeat on Star Sporting Cricket Academy on the inaugural day’s matches today.

NCA elected to bat and scored 165 for five and Gurukul were bowled out for 108. Rishi Raj Borah of NCA, who scored 54, was named Man of the Match. In the other match, Santipur elected to bat and posted 146 for three while Star Sporting were out for 78.
