Gyan Jyoti, South Point win

Guwahati, Nov. 15: Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti and South Point School won their respective matches of the 7th All Assam Parijat Mazumdar and Rooby Group inter-school (under-14) cricket tournament at Latasil ground here today.

In the morning match, Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti tamed Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF, by 77 runs while in the afternoon, South Point got the better of City Montessori High School by 68 runs.

Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti elected to bat and posted 166 for five in 20 overs. In reply, KV, CRPF were bundled out for 89 in 12 overs.

In the other match, South Point, put in to bat, scored 166 for seven in 20 overs and City Montessori were bowled out for 98 in 17.2 overs.

Kamrup Academy Higher Secondary School will play St Johnís English School and Smriti Academy will meet Guwahati Public School tomorrow.
