Calcutta, Oct. 10: Industries minister Partha Chatterjee today said former health minister Surjya Kanta Mishra could be jailed if “some files stacked in Swastha Bhavan” were reopened.
Chatterjee’s comments came a day after leader of the Opposition Mishra said the rehabilitation of former Trinamul central ministers as advisers to the chief minister would create an atmosphere of “suspicion and mistrust”.
Mishra had also alleged corruption in the deal involving the setting up of trident lamps in the city.
“He must not say such things. There are thick files lying in Swastha Bhavan. If these files are taken out one after the other, he would have to spend the rest of his life in jail,” Chatterjee said.
