Duliajan drub ASEB

Nagaon, Oct. 9: Defending champions Oil India Ltd, Duliajan defeated ASEB Guwahati 5-0 in the first quarter-final match of 64th ID Cup football tournament organised by Nagaon Sports Association at Nurul Amin stadium here today.

OIL striker Zadin Hmarís free kick brought the first goal of the match in the 48th minute.

Hmarís penalty shot in the 58th minute brought the second goal for OIL.

OIL midfielder Manas Manjit Chetia scored the third goal in the 65th minute. Chetia scored the fourth goal in the 68th minute.

S. Waryís corner brought the fifth goal for OIL in the 87th minute. Lansing Sports Club Shillong meets Green Valley Guwahati in the second quarter-final tomorrow.

Manipur team: Manipur Hockey named 18 members for the womenís team in the 2nd Sub-Junior Boys and Girls National Championship (East Zone) scheduled to be held from October 16-21 at Bihar Military Academy.

Judo: Manipur emerged the overall champions in the sub-junior national judo championship that concluded at Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan indoor stadium here today. The state tallied seven gold, two silver and six bronze medals.
