All-India home fair gets CM applause

Home sweet home got its commercial sweet spot at a five-day all-India fair inaugurated by chief minister Arjun Munda in Ranchi on Thursday.

Construction and Home Décor Exhibition at Harmu grounds saw 500 exhibitors from across India in 140 kiosks, offering a range of furniture, handicraft, upholstery, tiles, gym gear, electrical appliances and other items, impressing even the chief minister.

“This platform is a good opportunity for exhibitors and buyers from across India. People will know about new products and exchange related information. Such an event gives us national recognition,” Munda said.

Hosted by GS Marketing Associates with Builders Association of India, Jharkhand Centre and Confederation of Real Estate Developer’s Association of India (Credai), state chapter, the fair will be open from 1pm to 8pm.

Brands such as Beautiful Homes (ceramics and tiles), Canara Bank (housing finance), Eagle Marketing (health and gym gear), Kraft and Space (furnishing), Nirmal Jal (water treatment, pool equipment), Voltas (air-conditioners), JTDC (state tourism), Panchwati Builders (realty developers) are taking part.

GS Marketing Associates chairman S.D. Gupta said the fair would highlight the abilities of Jharkhand in hosting a big platform. “We want builders and home decorators to showcase their work before a quality audience,” he said.

Scouting for the products and deals over, visitors can head for munch-and-sip counters of Hotel Green Horizon.
