BSNL tender fears

New Delhi, Sept. 18: BSNL is likely to scrap its 15-million-line GSM tender because of the poor response from private vendors to the equipment supply contract estimated at Rs 5,000-6,000 crore . “The 15-million GSM tender floated by state-run BSNL is likely to be scrapped as only two or three private vendors have shown interest in the e-tender process,” a department of telecom official said.

BPCL drilling

Mumbai, Sept. 18: Bharat PetroResources, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), expects to drill 16 wells by the end of this fiscal and is hopeful of making further discoveries in its blocks in the country and overseas.

New Delhi, Sept. 18: The telecom ministry has asked state-owned TCIL to revisit the proposal to exit its joint venture with Bharti Group in Rajasthan, as it has not received any dividend despite the venture making profits since 2009-10.
