Two boys drown

Jorhat, Feb. 26: Two boys, Bitupan Das, 10, and Rituparna Das, 8, drowned in the Dikhow at Meteka ghat in Assam’s Sivasagar district when they went for a swim in the river with friends at 12.30pm today.

Snatched

Jorhat: Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched Rs 6.10 lakh from the manager of the Hengerabari branch of Assam Gramin Bikash Bank in Assam’s Golaghat district at 11am on Saturday.
