Rape at police tap

Howrah, Oct. 6: The father of a 14-year-old in Howrah today alleged that despite requests, police did not take any action on the “rape” of his daughter on the premises of a police office.

Suman Sahani, a resident of the Howrah police station area, alleged that a neighbour raped his daughter on Tuesday evening. She was then bathing under a tap on the south Howrah DSP’s office premises, which many residents use.
