- Plagued by injuries, Sialkot hire services of local players

Dharamsala: Rizwan Shamshad top-scored again with 88 to leave Uttar Pradesh in command against Sialkot on Friday.

Shamshad, who top-scored with 84 in the first innings, guided the team to 361 for seven in the second on Day III. Uttar Pradesh stretched their overall lead to 416.

Sialkot captain Imran Nazir and Shoaib Malik sat out due to injuries. Besides, Mohammed Asif flew back to Pakistan on an SoS from the national board.

The two substitutes Asim Butt and Inam-ul Haq fell ill and the team management had to hire the services of local cricketers Siddharth Manhas and Satvinder. (Agencies)
