Lucknow, Nov. 24 (PTI): A CBI court today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Madhumani, the wife of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi, in the Madhumita Shukla murder case.
Special judicial magistrate (CBI) R.M. Yadav issued the warrant on an application by the CBI and fixed December 24 for further hearing.
The CBI told the court that Madhumani was not cooperating in investigations. She was served notices asking her to appear before the bureau but did not turn up, the CBI application said.
The court has extended the judicial remand of another accused, Prakash Chander Pandey, till November 28. The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court will tomorrow hear a CBI petition challenging the lower courts order allowing Tripathi to attend the on-going budget session of the Vidhan Sabha.
